— Iqra University, a renowned name in Pakistan's education sector, aimed to launch a Business Incubation Centre to empower students and support startups with mentorship, market insights, and funding opportunities. As the lead designer, my role was instrumental in transforming their vision into a modern and dynamic branding that resonates with today’s digitally advanced audience.

Project Overview
The project aimed to engage market leaders by its innovative and compelling brand identity, and visual appeal, aligning with IU BIC’s objectives of securing endowments, supporting startups, and fostering innovation.
The Mission of IU – BIC is to offer world class education with focus on research, entrepreneurship, and ethical values in a technologically equipped environment, conducive to develop leaders for the betterment of society and the business community.
Collaborating with the Vice Chancellor and corporate communication team, I aimed to create a brand that stands out in the competitive landscape. My tasks included conceptualizing and designing the brand identity, developing brand guidelines, creating visual and communication language, and creating branding and marketing materials to support the launch.
Approach
My approach was to align IU BIC’s vision with insights from my research, drawing inspiration from Terrence Howard’s quote: “When you hear buzz around the beehive, you know they are making honey in there.” This inspired me to develop the concept of a bee hive, symbolizing a vibrant, collaborative space where ideas are nurtured and transformed into impactful outcomes.
I began with a thorough analysis of market positioning and target audience. This research helped me to develop an idea that aligns with the company's goals and vision. Collaborative sessions with the stakeholders helped refine the brand concepts while streamlining the process.
Idea
FROM BUZZ TO BUSINESS
Inspired by Terrence Howard’s quote, “When you hear the buzz around the beehive, you know they are making honey in there,” I developed the concept of a beehive using a hexagon to represent IU BIC’s vision. It symbolizes collaboration, productivity, and innovation, aligning perfectly with their mission to nurture startups and foster growth.
Throughout the project, I maintained constant communication with the team, which was essential to success. This process of design and feedback allowed me to ensure the final brand identity met the high standards we set.
This project is a good example of research, strategy, and creative design and delivered a strong brand identity that exceeded stakeholder expectations while fulfilling the purpose.
Final Design
The final brand element translated across all platforms amazingly and has the great potential to adapt in any form and medium. This adaptability and expandability is the reflection of nature’s marvel of beehive structure.
